Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Hamish Ferguson, the developer of ParmaMaster ("we", "us"). By creating a ParmaMaster account, you agree to them. Please read them, along with our Privacy Policy.
You don't need an account to keep your own Parma Log on your iPhone. These terms matter once you sign up for friends, group sessions and cloud backup.
1. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account or use friends and group sessions. Before you sign in or sign up, ParmaMaster checks the age range on your Apple Account, or asks your date of birth if you don't share it. If you're under 16, those features are turned off, and you can keep using your Parma Log.
- Use your real name or a name you're known by, keep your password private, and use one account per person.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
2. There's no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users
ParmaMaster is for rating parmas with friends. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour, in anything you post or anything you do in the app. This includes your name, username, bio, photos, ratings and group-session ratings.
You must not post or do anything that:
- is hateful or discriminatory, or attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or humiliates anyone, or encourages others to;
- is sexual, pornographic or sexually suggestive, or involves the sexualisation of anyone under 18;
- is violent or graphic, or promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders;
- promotes illegal activity, illegal drugs, or dangerous or irresponsible drinking;
- impersonates someone, or misleads people about who you are;
- shares someone else's private information, or photos of people who didn't agree to be in them;
- is spam, advertising, or ratings made up to promote or harm a business;
- infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
3. Reporting and blocking
- Report anyone, or anything they've shared, that breaks these terms: open their profile or the rating, tap ⋯ (More), then Report.
- Block anyone from the same menu. Blocking is silent, and immediate. They can't see your profile or rankings, or send you requests.
- We review every report within 24 hours. If something breaks these terms, we warn you or remove it, and your account gets a strike. A strike lasts 90 days. Three strikes at once suspends your account; it's deleted 30 days later unless we lift the suspension. You can appeal a strike within 30 days from Settings › Account Status.
- Serious breaches (anything hateful, sexual, threatening or illegal, or pretending to be someone else) can still mean an immediate ban.

4. What we can do
To keep ParmaMaster safe, we may, at any time and without notice:
- remove or hide any content;
- disable, suspend or permanently delete any account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe puts others at risk;
- refuse a new account to anyone we've banned.
We don't have to review content before it's posted, and we don't endorse what users share.
5. Your content
- You own what you post. You give us permission to store it, back it up and show it to the people your settings allow, only so we can run ParmaMaster.
- This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. The Privacy Policy explains the few things we keep for a while afterwards, such as reports.
- Only post photos you took or have the right to share.
- Ratings are personal opinions. Keep them honest.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. In short: your notes are never shared, and you choose what friends see.
7. The app licence and Apple
- ParmaMaster is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). These terms add to it.
- If these terms and Apple's EULA conflict about your licence to use the app, Apple's EULA applies.
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for ParmaMaster or its content.
8. The service
- ParmaMaster is free. We may change, pause or stop online features, such as friends, sessions and cloud backup, at any time. If we stop them for good, we'll give notice where we can.
- Pub details and map search come from Apple Maps and may not always be accurate.
- ParmaMaster is about food. Nothing in it encourages drinking alcohol. If you drink, drink responsibly and follow local laws.
9. Liability
- ParmaMaster is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or other laws that can't be excluded.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for:
- loss of data;
- what other users post or do;
- indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of ParmaMaster.
10. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account & Privacy › Delete Account.
- We may end your account under section 4.
11. Changes to these terms
- If we change these terms, we'll update the version and date above.
- If a change matters, the app will ask you to agree again before you share anything new.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
